Doing a remodel, floors, counters and painting current cabinets (they are in great shape but I want white). They stop short from the ceiling and I don’t know if that is intentional, and if so, why. I see no practical reason, but I may be missing something.
I’d like to add a cabinet on top to fill the space and meet the ceiling. Obviously paint would have to match. I am leaning toward something with glass or keeping it simple with just a panel. I’ve always hated that open space, it just collects dust and probably some bugs and what not.
Pictures of my current kitchen, and the concept kitchen are attached. Can anyone chime in with reasons why this might be a good, or a bad, idea? Is there a reason they left the space in the first place?
Thanks so much!
