We are going to do a accent wall (3/4 board/batten wainscoting) in our guest bedroom and against the baseboard we are putting a 1×4, however there is, what I believe to be an old water hookup there, and I was wondering if I am good to remove it. It looks like it could have went to an old kitchen or bathrooms, and from what I can follow the main pipe for it is sawn off and other parts of the pipe (and ‘wires screwed into the pipe) are hidden in walls (bedroom/hall closet walls).
Do you think I can remove the visible section?
If so, how? (I was thinking an angle grinder underneath, then I could pull a small 6in section out)
