Do I need to reinforce beneath a cast iron double sink mounted on laminate counter top? : HomeImprovement

We are planning to add a corner kitchen in our basement, and I will be using the IKEA Knoxhult modular kitchen with IKEA laminate countertops (I’m on a budget!) I got a used cast iron sink in excellent shape for $35 in white to go with the rest of what I’m planning. The sink is very heavy. Will I need to reinforce the counter under the sink with 2x4s so all that weight isn’t pulling on the laminate? It has me worried. But as I’m in the planning phase, it’s better to know ahead of time!

The sink is a Kohler double bowl like this (more or less): https://www.homedepot.com/p/206350850
