Gluing the feet of the bathtub to the floor ? : HomeImprovement

I am trying to install a new corner bathtub. There are instruction with the bathtub but they seem weird to me. So there are 4 feet where the bath tub is standing on but they are far in the middle. The side of the bathtub must be 5 mm of the ground. I adjusted the feet that everything is level. But now the instruction say that I need to use silicone to glue the feet of the bathtub to the floor. This seems pretty weird. I haven’t seen this anywhere that it should be done like this. If i don’t glue the feet to the floor the bath tils when someone sits on the side. Is it normal that I should glue them to the floor ? Won’t they come off quickly ?
