Help with picking a material that won’t crack when foundation shifts. : HomeImprovement

I live on an old swamp. It’s great! Every year my house shifts and the drywall cracks. I love it.

I am starting a reno in my hallway and am wanting to cover the walls with panelling. I want to use MDF with datos cut in, but I envision MDF cracking too.

Would plywood be better? Or actual wood?

Let me know what you would do.

This link shows the cracks, the paneling I want to do on the walls, and the PVC piping I want to use on the roof.
