Help with shower : HomeImprovement

Hi,

I recently moved into the house and noticed that there are cracks along the edge of the master shower. Was concerned about water leakage and thus wanted it fixed. I hired a handyman to come over to help but I’m pretty unhappy with the results. I’d like to remove what he did and do it myself.

He used a sanded ceramic tile caulk from Home Depot. What’s the best way to remove it and the residue that’s on the nearby tile (I see some hazing) so that I can redo it? Here’s a pic of what I tried to remove with a grout removal tool.

Also is it okay to use caulk at the junction between the two tiles?

I know some people will say have him come back and fix it but tbh I’ve accepted it is what it is and would like to just fix it at this point.
