Hi. I’m in a three-year-old house (Florida) and for the past six months (possibly longer) or so, I’ve been dealing with a lot of little spiders in my room. I’ve definitely seen some spiders and bugs around the house, but they seem to be a ton in my room, and my sibling doesn’t have any in thiers. There doesn’t seem to be any general grouping of the spiders, but they especially love where the walls meet and the top corners of my room. They also like hanging out on the floor finishings.
I’ve gotten an exterminator to spray and [bought those bags meant to repeal them] (https://www.amazon.com/Stay-Away-Spiders-Repellent-Control/dp/B07CVQPBC1/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=spider+repellent&qid=1619815541&sr=8-6) and their numbers definitely went down for a couple of weeks but now I’m seeing at least a spider a day again. There can only really be three ways they’re getting in:
A) the vents. I have two in my room, and a third in the bathroom that connects to my room.
B) The two windows I have.
C) The small but long cracks that have appeared at the corner of the walls (amazing for a new house i know)
I’m willing to be it’s C, and I’ve seen online to get a seek thermal camera and seal up the cracks it finds with a caulk gun, or get one of those [things that are supposed to ward off pests by vibrations] (https://spiderexterminators.org/ultrasonic-spider-repellent/).
I was smart enough this time around to take photos of the most recent one I’ve seen. I’ve included photos of when I first saw it, after I smacked it, and even smushed on the tissue i picked it up with in case that helps. Here’s the photo gallery: https://imgur.com/a/tSBLNNl
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
