Is it worth it to reuse quartz countertops when replacing cabinets? : HomeImprovement

I just had my floors torn out in the kitchen and figure I might as well replace the cabinets. The cabinets are probably 70 years old and have been painted badly multiple times with the paint peeling in many places.

Thinking of replacing the cabinets but most places that sell and install cabinets won’t reuse the countertops or say that there’s a decent risk of them breaking and they say it’s not recommended.

In general, I plan to keep the existing layout for the most part. Only thing is I might want to move the stove and range hood so it’s not jammed against the wall but that would really be the only change if I got new counters.

Any thoughts?
