The new vanity was bit higher than the old one. So the bottom screw hole for the cover plate is covered by the side splash.
I guess my option is either cut the cover plate to match. (but the plug would be a wee bit too close to the side splash for my liking), or the more complicated method of moving the outlet about half an inch higher, which hopefully wouldn’t even need to fill in the old hole as the cover plate will hopefully cover it.
Just wondering how difficult of a job it is to move it about half an inch higher? Is it possible to do without having to go back and repair portions of the drywall?
