Repair/fill holes in quartz ledger stone. : HomeImprovement

I have some unsightly holes in a fireplace wall that i’d like to fill. The holes are 3/8” and maybe 1” deep. The material seems to be quartz ledger stone, the kind that comes linked together for fireplace walls and mantles. The holes are above the fireplace but there’s a fair amount of insulation between the gas duct and wall so heat isn’t an issue.

Can someone provide some ideas on how i should approach filling the voids?

I looked for some off the shelf void filler but all seem convoluted and far too much material. I considered buying some quartz stone, smashing it up and mixing it with epoxy but never worked with epoxy so I’m not sure if this is right solution.
