Previous owner used construction adhesive to attach cork board directly to a plaster wall. They also used the adhesive (and brad) on the paneling on the wall. Looking for ideas on how to repair this wall.
I removed most of the cork, the bits left were really stuck on. Any ideas on how to remove the last of this? I have both a rotary and oscillating multitool. Might try the scraper on the oscillating tool.

Patch each small hole with joint compound and see if they blend into the wall?
scrape off the finish coat of plaster and skim coat the entire area?
toss up a mirror and whiteboard and say fuck it
