I was able to cut the adapter piece off to swap out a new bathtub spout, but it was not easy. I ended up cutting into the copper pipe which can be seen HERE.
Is it still okay for me to move forward with installing the spout or do I need to fix the pipe? If I do need to fix the pipe before installing the new spout, is it something I can do on my own or do I need to call in a pro? If I can do it, what should I do?
