Shower leak help : HomeImprovement

I’m a new homeowner so I’m sorry if I use the wrong vocab. My basement shower has a small leak in the elbow pipe in the supply line. It came up in the inspection, and it’s accessible from a panel door behind the shower. I asked a plumber about it while he was in our house rooting our clogged kitchen plumbing (shoutout to the previous owners for pouring kitchen grease down the drain for years, thanks a bunch) and he said it’s an easy DIY and not worth what he’d have to charge me. I bought a new length of pipe and a new elbow and now I’m kind of… lost. Like I guess I have to cut out the old elbow somehow? And attach the new one? Is there a good YouTube video or guide someone can recommend for this? I feel like such a newb but I have to learn sometime! Pic of shower pipe https://imgur.com/gallery/IS0axfj
