Got a new sink and pulled out the old one only to find the sink cutout is about 1/4″ too small at the front and side. The sink fits but the clip holders are what are slightly too small.
I am hesitant to remove the clip holders, or perhaps just two of them, as I’m not sure that would be enough to hold the sink in place with just silicone. Also I’d be worried about damaging the sink.
On the other hand, the counter is topped with 3/8″ granite tile. Would an angle grinder and circular saw be adequate to widen the cutout to accommodate the clips? Or would this require more tools than that? If going the widening route I’d like to leave the tiles in place if possible.
