This is my first winter in this house (MD). The vinyl siding had some obvious issues last summer but as the winter has gone on and the siding has shrunk, those issues have really been exacerbated by the cold weather. The pieces aren’t really “buckling” like I’ve read about but instead are just peeling up where two pieces meet. Can someone please tell me how pieces warp in this manner? I’ve messed around with them and it seems that some are super loose and the nail holding them on is almost a full inch off the plywood. Could that be the problem?
